Last Friday, 23 graduates from Cohort 16 showcased their front-end and back-end capstone projects for prospective employers. The day started with the opportunity to present to their families and fellow students. By the time hiring managers started to arrive, Cohort 16 was energized and ready. The Hackery was buzzing all day as seen in our time-lapse videos on Facebookand Twitter. You can also see images from Demo Day in our photo gallery.

Capstone projects included an app that tracks the books you own, a recipe finder based on ingredients you already have, a board game ratings tracker, an app that lets you upload archival research images to Amazon Web Browser and extract the text and images for analysis, an ecommerce website for wine, and a road trip planning app.

Graduates also had the opportunity to sit down with Clark Buckner to talk about their experience at NSS and their capstone projects. You can listen to their interviews below.

To wrap up Demo Day, Cohort 16 came together for final words of wisdom from their instructors, Steve Brownlee and Joe Shepherd, and NSS founder, John Wark. The school is quiet this week as Cohort 18 is on break and we are preparing for the arrival of Cohort 19 on Monday. Cohort 17 is busy at work learning NodeJS. Their Demo Day will be May 19th.
