Pablo Casares of Full-time Data Analytics Cohort 5 at Nashville Software School Before his time in Full-time Data Analytics Cohort 5, Pablo Casares was a professional chef for 20 years! “As far as I’m concerned, it’s a horrible time to be in the [service] industry in management or even as a worker,” Pablo comments in his podcast. He knew he had to make a change when he discovered Nashville Software School’s data analytics program!

What was the topic of your capstone and how did you choose it?

“[I compared] cooking from home versus dining out [by]analyzing value and nutrition and time. The work hours in culinary made it more convenient to enjoy a few more meals away from home. I was curious if the rest of the nation's long-hour work force felt the same.”

What roadblocks did you encounter along the way?

“Bootcamp cadence versus life. I had to quickly make myself able to adjust and manage a full time cohort and life. I learned to use every resource available. This allowed me to comprehend the information and see it applied in real-world data.”

What advice would you give to current or incoming NSS Data Analytics students?

“Challenge yourself and stay positive. Positivity is the key. Give your brain the rest it requires to ingest the information and Practice...practice ....practice. “
