Prior to enrolling to NSS, Alex Woodall of Full-time Web Development Cohort 50 was a Psychological Operations Specialist in the United States Army for over 10 years. “My diverse life experiences have led me to meeting many great people in the software development world,” he shares. “Seeing the problem solving and creativity their work involved first hand inspired me to travel down this career path.”
Why did you choose to attend NSS?
“Career change, future outlook [for tech jobs].”
What was your favorite part of your NSS experience?
“New challenges every day”
What was your favorite capstone project and what about it made it your favorite?
“My favorite part about my front-end capstone, Creator Link, was that I took an existing site and made it much better. The added functionality and features of Creator Link made the original site it was based off of (Linktree) seem like a simple side project for somebody.”
What roadblocks did you encounter along the way?
“Tough adjustment at first, but then smooth cruising.”
What advice would you give to current or incoming NSS Web Development students?
“Don't be afraid of learning things outside of the lessons provided.“
