Joseph Martin of Part-time Web Development Cohort 13 at Nashville Software SchoolJoseph Martin of Part-time Web Development Cohort Evening 13 shares that he’s always had a drive to learn more about technology. “I was told about Nashville Software School (NSS) through a family friend and after some research knew it was the perfect place for me to grow my knowledge and build a foundation in web development,” he explains.

I love the challenges web development brings.

Why did you choose to attend NSS?

“I found that I had a passion for software development when my uncle sent me a Udemy course to try out. I noticed I was enjoying it and spending hours on it even after working my day job. I heard about how intense and rewarding NSS is and I knew I had to get a class.”

What was your favorite capstone project and what about it made it your favorite?

“My back-end capstone. It really pulled everything that I have learned together. I really enjoyed being able to manipulate the data exactly how I wanted the front-end to make use of it.”

What advice would you give to current or incoming NSS Web Development students?

“Don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to where you were two weeks ago and be proud of your improvement.”
