After working in the service industry for several years, Chris LoJacono of Part-time Web Development Cohort Evening 13 was looking for a new challenge when his friends in the rockclimbing community pointed him towards software development.
I was drawn towards software development for problem solving, but I have loved every part of the process!
What was your favorite capstone project and why?
“Let's Eat was my favorite project because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me the chance to learn lots of new technologies. I decided to challenge myself with this project and I really enjoyed the process. I learned SignalR, async/await, and picked up a new React component framework with this project!”
What advice would you give to current or incoming NSS Web Development students?
“Get out of your comfort zone! You will grow so much when you are trying new things that might seem daunting.”
What was your favorite part of your NSS experience?
“My favorite part was learning with my classmates. We all spent so many hours together coding, debugging and sometimes struggling and we have all come so far! I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to have been with.”
