The financial barriers to attend Nashville Software School (NSS) are the highest we’ve ever seen. Inflation, student loan repayments, the rising cost of child care, and high interest rates are preventing folks from investing in themselves to pursue a career in tech. To help, we’ve created The Access Scholarship ($2,000) to make starting a career in tech more affordable for the rest of this year.
The Access Scholarship will lower tuition for all students who are accepted into a cohort of the Web Developer Bootcamp or Data Science Bootcamp, our two most expensive programs, with a start date between July 1st and November 4th, 2024, and who are accepted under one of the variations of regular tuition (see below for more details).
“One of NSS’s founding goals was to reduce barriers to tech careers. For 12 years, we’ve done that through our Opportunity Tuition program and now, thanks in part to our gifts from our alumni, community donors, and local foundations, we’re able to extend that reach a little further during these tough economic times through The Access Scholarship,” shares John Wark, founder and CEO of Nashville Software School.
There is still time to apply for the July cohorts. Applications for the Part-time Web Developer Bootcamp starting July 1st will close around May 31st. Applications for the Full-time Web Developer Bootcamp - now starting July 22 - will close around June 17. The August Full-time Web Developer Bootcamp is moving to a September 3rd start date with applications open through July.
**Recipients of Opportunity Tuition or other NSS scholarships greater than $2,000 are not eligible.
