“My front-end capstone was my favorite because I had hit MVP long before we were to demo. I had more time to style and add little things to flesh out the app. I centered it around creating a workout plan for yourself where you could view how many repetitions, sets, and what exercise explicitly to do. There was also a tab where you could see details on a specific exercise. As for how I made it, it was a React app using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.”
“Road blocks would be I didn't ‘get it" straight away. I was by no means top of my class and there were plenty of times where I thought it might be in my better interest to look for another career path, but thanks to my friends, the instructors, and my own will to not give up I got over [my doubts] long enough to start understanding a little more at a time. Eventually I realized I was in the home stretch, so if I even wanted to entertain the idea of quitting at that point, I was too far along to give up.”
“Everyone at some point, especially if they're extremely new to this kind of thing, thinks about quitting. This stuff is hard and you're never alone in what you are thinking. Just push through and try your best to make friends along the way.”
