We are pleased to announce the addition of Amy Henderson to the NSS Board of Directors. Henderson is the Vice President of Customer Success at LeanKit. She joined LeanKit when they acquired her prior company, Firefly Logic, where she was President and CEO. She has a computer science degree from MTSU and started her career in technology as a software engineer. Henderson’s ties to NSS began when her daughter attended one of NSS’s full-stack web development bootcamps. Her son is currently enrolled in a similar bootcamp.

Amy Henderson expressed, “I’m so excited to join the NSS board and contribute to their story in Nashville, since they play such an integral role in the community. NSS provides their students with the opportunity for entering tech as an initial career choice or as a total career reboot, while also giving Nashville another strong source for building and retaining talent.”

John Wark, Founder and President of NSS, stated, “Amy has been an important figure in the Nashville tech community for many years and I’m thrilled that she has agreed to join our Board. Amy is a software engineer herself, has been a successful entrepreneur, and is now a senior executive at one of Nashville’s significant home-grown tech companies. She has also been engaged in the community through affiliations including directorship at the Nashville Technology Council.”

Amy Henderson is the sixth member of the NSS Board of Directors. She joins the following already serving on the Board: John Wark, Brandon Valentine (Independent consultant and former Managing Partner, Centresource), Chris McIntyre (Founder/CEO, Southern Made Co.), Rob Humphreys (Head of Strategy & Finance, SMLXL Studios & Partner at Rail Yard Studios), and David Shealy (Vice President of Application Services, Ingram Content Group).

We plan to expand to seven board members this year and then to nine board members in 2018 and are actively recruiting the seventh member now.
